Project Runway Season 9 was the ninth season of the Lifetime reality television programme Project Runway. It features 20 brand new designers, all competing to become "the next great American designer." The season began airing on July 28, 2011 and finished on October 27, 2011.

The winner was 29 year old Anya Ayoung-Chee from Trinidad and Tobago who beat 25 year old Joshua McKinley from Cleveland, Ohio, 30 year old Viktor Luna from Guadalajara, Jalisco and 35 year old Kimberly Goldson from Brooklyn, New York City into second, third and fourth place respectively in the grand final.

Judges

Supermodel Heidi Klum, Marie Claire creative director Nina Garcia, and fashion designer Michael Kors all returned as judges this season. Tim Gunn maintained his role as the workroom mentor.
